Day 1, Sunday August 29: Melbourne (VIC) to Bendigo (VIC) to Wentworth (NSW)

Our journey begins with passengers boarding for 7.00am departure at the Transit Centre, Spencer Street Melbourne.
Leave Bendigo at 9.30am for a short journey to Marong. Morning tea is served before a 10.30am departure.
Travel north through Charlton and Ouyen to Mildura. Our Motel accommodation is in Wentworth.
At 5.30pm return to Mildura for 3-4 hour cruise on the Murray. Delightful atmosphere, great meal - expect an evening of laughter and friendship.

Day 2, Monday August 30:Wentworth (NSW) to Milparinka (NSW)

Depart the motel at 8.00am for the run north and an early lunch in Broken Hill.We pause for a spell at isolated Packsaddle then make our way to Milparinka, population 6.We establish our camp around the pub, then settle in for an evening in this historic outback town.

Day 3,Tuesday August 31: Milparinka (NSW) to Innamincka (SA)

Into sandhill country today.We call at Camerons Corner prior to our mid-afternoon arrival in Innamincka. Set up camp for two nights among the river gums on Cooper Creek.

Day 4,Wednesday September 1: Innamincka (SA) to Dig Tree (QLD) and Cooper Creek

The coach will visit two historic sites. (i) The spot where Burke's body was located and buried. (ii) The Burke and Wills "Dig Tree" on Cooper Creek.

Day 5,Thursday September 2: Innamincka (SA) to Birdsville (QLD)

We strike the Gibber and Sandhill country during the run north to Birdsville. (In good seasons wild flowers cascade across the sandhills).We set up camp for 3 nights at the Birdsville Caravan Park.

Day 6, Friday September 3: Birdsville (QLD)

We use the morning to check out Birdsville. Visit "Big Red", the highest sandhill between there and Alice Springs. The races begin today followed by an evening of entertainment in the town.

Day 7, Saturday September 4:The Birdsville Cup (QLD)

A day of racing and entertainment with thousands of people participating. Electrifying atmosphere in the town and on the track.

Day 8, Sunday September 5: Birdsville (QLD) to Marree (SA)

Depart at 8am for the Birdsville track.We take a two hour break at Mungerannie Hotel.Time to refresh in the hot Artisian Pools. Lunch at the hotel. Expect an evening of laughter and song with accommodation at the Railway Hotel/Motel in Marree.

Day 9, Monday September 6: Marree (SA) to Renmark (SA)

This is an easy day's travel through Leigh Creek, Hawker, Peterborough and Burra to Renmark. Overnight Motel accommodation.

Day 10,Tuesday September 7: Renmark (SA) to Bendigo (VIC)

Relax and enjoy the run home through Mildura, Robinvale, Swan Hill and Kerang to Bendigo. Arrive in Bendigo at approximately 5.00pm, Melbourne at approximately 7.30pm.
